“I’m dedicated to improving the quality of life for my fellow Texans and American; which means working hard across party lines on needs like access to affordable health care, well-paying jobs, and good schools for your children and mine. While advocating for people, I've personally experienced how communities like mine are forever fighting with one hand tied behind their back. Simply because Washington politicians implement systems for their own interests - not the people. I believe in servant leadership, which was instilled by my family, and refined further throughout my military service. Putting people first, holding oneself accountable, and solving problems are the values I've practiced as mayor and will continue to exercise in the U.S. House of Representatives. Together, we can make Congress work for the people as it was intended.”
